greenbean headline North East Contact Centre Awards

The North East Contact Centre Awards 2020 will be headline-sponsored by contact centre recruitment specialists greenbean by NRG.

In partnership with new awards organisers, The Projects Studio, greenbean will help shape the delivery program for NECCA 2020. The change of ownership has provided an opportunity to refresh the awards with all new categories, judging criteria and website. The teams have been working hard behind the scenes to ready NECCA’s launch.

Nominations open in April with 19 categories. Categories include Customer Service star, Outsourcing Partnership, and the sought after Contact Centre of the Year award. In previous years many global brands and some of the region’s largest employers have enter, making for stiff competition.

New categories include Apprentice, Team Leader and Most effective employee engagement programme. The addition of the Special Contribution award seeks to recognise an individual or organisation whose contribution has made a visible difference to the sector.

NECCA will offer a series of workshops and guidance on best practice in applying for the awards. The revised judging criteria will focus on the impact across four areas: customer, company, colleague and conduct.

greenbean’s Client Relationship Manager Julie Mordue will join the core judging panel of 5 industry experts. A team of 20 volunteers from the sector, many of whom are previous winners of NECCA, will support with judging. Julie, who has previously judged for UK and European call centre awards and leads the North East Contact Centre Partnership (NECCP), commented “We have supported the North East Contact Centre Awards for over 10 years. As sector specialists, we are perfectly placed to advise and guide The Project Studio. NECCA means so much to the people of the North East; we are delighted to work in partnership to bring them back.”

Leanne Chambers, Director of greenbean, seconded this, adding “We are thrilled greenbean will headline sponsor NECCA 2020. Contact centres are a huge part of the North East’s economy, accounting for around 6% of jobs in the region. The sector makes for challenging and rewarding employment with plenty of opportunities for career progression. We work with contact centre clients to challenge perceptions, demonstrate their talent proposition and ultimately fill their vacancies with quality candidates. The North East Contact Centre Awards is about showcasing and celebrating the amazing talent behind the scenes of the sector and recognising the vital part they play in the region’s economy.

Andrew Wilson, Director of event organisers The Projects Studio, added “We are really excited to be organising the North East Contact Centre Awards in 2020, working closely with greenbean. I have heard a lot about the awards from previous years, and know we are building on strong foundations. With the partnership approach I feel we can develop the awards still further. Working with Leanne and Julie, we have established a strong team of judges who have helped us revise the categories for this year. We look forward to receiving nominations from the many individuals, teams and organisations who are leading their industry, and growing our region’s reputation for contact centre excellence. I am sure the Gala Awards Dinner at Ramside Hall will be a memorable occasion to celebrate their success.”

NECCA nominations open 20 April 2020 and will close 31 July 2020. The awards will be held 20 November 2020 at Ramside Hall, with greenbean handing out Contact Centre of the Year prizes.
