Global manufacturing business embeds greenbean RPO for flexible workforce solution
greenbean by NRG has been providing integrated resourcing solutions to Calsonic Kansei Europe, supplier of heat exchange, air conditioning, exhaust, interior, and electronic automotive components, for a number of years.
Calsonic Kansei Europe is headquartered in the UK with operations spread throughout Europe in Spain, Romania, Russia, France and Germany. Its UK manufacturing operation relies on a flexible workforce of up to 20% to work alongside their permanent employees.
Calsonic Kansei appointed greenbean by NRG as its recruitment partner to provide integrated resourcing solutions for temporary production, shop floor and warehouse/fork lift truck drivers to their three North East sites, situated in Washington, Sunderland and within the Nissan manufacturing plant.
The company wanted a partner who could conduct a full review of their recruitment process, tailor make a cost effective, compliant solution aligned to their permanent workforce and add value at every point of the process to support continuous improvement.
Following an in depth transition period which included greenbean by NRG providing a designated CIPD and REC qualified Account Manager and flexible resourcing team, as well as working alongside CK’s HR team and key stakeholders to fully understand the business and each site; 178 staff were transferred under TUPE principals over to greenbeany by NRG.
A further TUPE project followed when Calsonic Kansei opened their warehouse at Doxford International Park. This project handled the TUPE of staff from a previous logistics supplier as well recruitment of Reach Fork Lift Truck Drivers, a different requirement from the other Calsonic Kansei sites that employ Counter Balance FLT Drivers.
greenbean by NRG’s on-site team works in partnership with Calsonic Kansei to ensure that operational business objectives and targets are achieved through delivery of required staffing skills and volumes, which have varied over the years in line with production demand.
greenbean by NRG’s MI reporting includes fulfilment, managing absence, sickness & time keeping, performance management, turnover, payroll processing and in-house payroll function which has contributed to 100% adherence. Skill assessments are fully aligned to the required competencies of the role and the values of Calsonic Kansei.
