Job description
We are the independent voice for water consumers in England and Wales. Since 2005, we have assisted thousands of consumers in resolving complaints against their water companies, offering free advice and support. Our work is guided by extensive research, which we use to advocate for consumers and influence water companies, governments, and regulators.
The water sector has never been under such intense public scrutiny, presenting a significant opportunity for CCW as one of the few trusted voices in the industry. Although CCW is a small organisation, we are a powerful campaigning force that punches above our weight. This is where our Communications team plays a key role—amplifying our voice to the public through the media and engaging with influential stakeholders in both the industry and politics.
We are looking for an individual to carry out a range of everyday communications duties. In addition, we need someone who can manage local and regional media, both proactively and reactively, and engage with elected members in England and Wales. This role will also lead on a key area of our campaigning work—designing and delivering messages, channels, and assets. This includes generating media coverage, driving social media activity, producing podcasts and blogs, collaborating with partners, and contributing to events.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic organisation with a fantastic range of benefits, including a Civil Service Pension, Blended and Flexible Working Options, Travel Season Ticket Loans, free access to an Employee Assistance Programme, discounts via our STaR benefits platform, and much more. CCW will also cover the cost of an annual CIPR membership (or equivalent) for Communications team members.
For more details on the role, please see the Job Specification and Person Specification.
