Are you looking for a new challenge where you can utilise your customer service and listening skills to take ownership of customer queries by phone. This role is based in Middlesbrough city centre with a pay of £11.62 per hour, working 37.5 hours per week, on rotational shifts between 7am and 11pm Mon-Sun and the opportunity work remotely upon successful completion of training. This is a full-time opportunity and a permanent contract!

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are customer focused, with great listening skills and who are pro-active about taking ownership of all customers queries. You will have the ability to deal with sometimes difficult customers and handle tricky customer conversations, while staying professional when things get tough. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is driven to go above and beyond.

What can you expect in this role?

You will go through an award-winning training program. The first 2 weeks will be spent in the classroom learning about the systems and getting to grips with the different services available to customers. The next 2-3 weeks will be spent doing on-the-job training. This means that a team of experienced colleagues will be there on hand whenever you need them so you can perform to your fullest potential. After training you will be moved onto a rotational shift pattern between the hours of 8am and 11pm. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to earn extra rewards with regular daily, weekly and monthly incentives that can be based on your performance or even something completely non-work related like who has the best Christmas jumper or the best dressed on pyjamas day!

After training you will be assigned one of these 4 shift patterns:

  • 8-16:30 working 2 Sat 1 Sun per month

  • 9:30-18:00 working 2 Sat 1 Sun per month

  • 9:30-20:00 working every other weekend, off 3 days a week

  • 11:30-20:00 working 1 Sat 2 Sundays a month

After 6 months there may be an opportunity for promotion, hen we’ll need you to be flexible from 7am to 11pm.

Career Progression

You’ve probably heard in other job adverts say that career progression is an option, within this role it is pretty much inevitable, the majority off staff will start within customer service, but progress into other roles. This can be anywhere from more advanced areas such as Fraud or Complaints handling, to recruitment and HR. There are also plenty opportunities to move into leadership roles.
