Job description

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced contact centre sales team leader to join a fast growth tech business based in Newcastle city centre and receive a basic salary of £26,000 with an OTE of £36,000.

You’ll lead and manage a B2C sales team to achieve KPIs and targets and help the business to achieve its ambitious growth plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Raising absences on behalf of team members and conducting return-to-work meetings

  • Leading weekly team meetings for training, discussing updates within the company and any actions that need to be carried forward

  • Completing team performance analysis as well as weekly and monthly reporting on KPIs

  • Requesting reports and carrying out analysis in our database

  • Coaching, recruiting, training, and onboarding

  • Represent the company's objectives to your team, build plans to deliver these objectives and motivate your team into exceeding expectations

  • Writing reports and presentations analysing the performance of your team and delivering these to the Senior Leadership Team and key external stakeholders

  • Quality Assurance call monitoring

  • Be responsible for the professional development of your team members including sales training, personal development and training, monthly 121s, and performance management

  • Being the first point of contact for the team for advice on handling difficult customer queries and escalations

  • Working closely with team leaders and managers from other departments to improve internal processes

  • Work closely with the directors and other sales team leaders to ensure that the sales team is high performing

  • Outbound cold calling to warm leads, upselling product packages, and creating package quotes

  • Answering inbound calls

About You:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential

  • Confident phone manner

  • Ability to multi-task and move between tasks using prioritisation

  • Must be self-motivated and have a positive attitude

  • Have fantastic organisational and time management skills, as well as good verbal and communication skills

  • People management skills to develop your team and improve their performance

  • Problem-solving skills
