Job description

Our client is currently undergoing substantial investment in their assets resulting in the creation of the role of Health & Safety Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an IOSH professional with a proven track record of managing health & safety within a large or varied asset portfolio to assume a strategic leadership position within an established team

You will collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that ongoing investments across various sites adhere to evolving health & safety standards and remain a priority throughout the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Influence and support stakeholders while continuously elevating the prominence of health and safety across the entire organisation.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of health and safety management systems.

  • Review and enhance existing policies and processes to promote best practices.

  • Monitor compliance levels and implementation of health and safety measures.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to keep them informed of any pertinent issues.

  • Foster a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Chartered member of IOSH (or equivalent)

  • Experience in providing strategic guidance and devising effective tactical health and safety plans to optimise performance.

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Strong track record of cross-functional management and development.

  • Ability to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement.

  • Experience in a large or varied asset portfolio.
